Jorge Alvarez joined Silver Hill Financial in 2004 from parent company Bayview Financial. Drawing upon the thorough knowledge he acquired as an associate in Bayview's Structured Finance and Advisory Services divisions, Jorge created Silver Hill's Risk Management division in 2005. As Senior VP Risk Management, Jorge oversees the national lender's analytics, policies and procedures, proprietary underwriting model, risk management and change management.
Prior to joining Bayview Financial in 2002, Jorge worked as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking division in New York City, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance for the Latin American region. He began his career as an industrial engineering consultant.
Jorge holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Miami, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
